Waiting for the Phone to Ring
Before joining the program, Marek Deml was running his mixing business the way most audio engineers do. Waiting. Hoping. Maybe getting eight serious inquiries in a good year.
He was getting by, but the pipeline was empty. There was no system for generating leads, no predictable way to fill his calendar. If a good month happened, it was luck. If a bad month happened, there was nothing to do but wait some more.

“I was like, well, I'm not that guy. Why would I do that? I don't need to do that.”

“It felt really scary. And then I even got like one of my own ads on Instagram, and I was like, oh no, it's me. But then as soon as you start getting people in and speaking to people and they're just really interested in working with you, it kind of all goes away.”
The fear was temporary. The results were not.

That best month was essentially the first month after launching his ad system. He went from scraping together a handful of leads per year to turning people away because he couldn't handle the volume.

One of the surprises for Marek was the quality of clients who came through the ads. He expected cold leads to be lower quality. Instead, he found himself working with people who were serious, committed, and ready to invest.
The system didn't just fill his calendar. It filled it with the right people. And once those relationships started, the work was better, the communication was smoother, and the projects were more fulfilling.
